ACTIVITIES

To give students a chance:
- to present their own ideas and interpretations on a certain problem;
- to present results from research work in the field of natural sciences and Ecology;
- to defend their own opinion on up-to-date problems of society;
- to show original thinking;
- to exchange ideas and their own self-created school materials.

Entitled to participation are all students from each country who:
1) Are first age group VI - VIII class
2) Are second age group IX - XII class
3) Show profound interest in the school subjects from the cultural-educational field of "Natural Scinces and Ecology" (the man and nature, physics and astronomy, chemistry and protection of the environment, biology and health education).
There is no limit as to the number of projects with which a school from a certain European country or a country from outside the European Union can apply.

The competition is carried out in two categories:
1. A theoretical project - to describe a potential project, which with the help of one or several sciences, can contribute to the solution of a concrete ecological problem (for example, a problem with waste, energy saving, reduction of the carbon emissions in the atmosphere etc) - of importance for the respective community, region or country.
2. A project connected with how informed the community is regarding various ecological problems. Informational products, created by the student teams, are presented at the competition. Its purpose is to persuade parents, friends, teachers and residents of the corresponding place, of the necessity for concrete activities and measures connected to the protection of the environment and people's health, and which offers recommendations for practical activities feasible at school, at home or in the respective region or country (sustainable mobility). The competition work can be in the form of a brochure, newspaper, poster, video, multimedia or Power Point presentation.
Each project should be done individually or in a team and may have a scientific supervisor - a teacher, a lecturer at a higher institute etc.
